Morita’s cordless Tri Auto mini endodontic handpiece opens up new realms of freedom in the preparation of the root canal. This is thanks to its minimal weight, ultra compact head and innovative safety features, such as the “Auto Torque Reverse” which helps reduce file breakage. Optionally, when the Tri Auto mini is connected to Morita’s Root ZX mini apex locator, via a transmission cable and file electrode, the “Auto Apical Reverse” will help prevent over-preparation.

Tri Auto mini Review

I have 3 cordless endo handpieces because for me personally, 1 is not enough!! This is an evolutionary upgrade of the original Tri Auto ZX that came out in the early 90’s. This cordless handpiece with rechargeable batteries is very light and easy to handle. I like the head design with the angle being perfect for disto-angled upper 7’s allowing access with a curve spine posture. It has pre-programmed features that can be used with a number of different types of instruments and is compatible with all brands of files. Personally, I find it very safe to use to with the torque settings that are recommended and can’t remember when I last separated an instrument. The rechargeable unit has a good amount of power – never konks out during all day use. It has two handy functions—‘auto torque reverse’ and ‘auto torque slow down’. It can also be combined with an apex locator to zero down on the apex of the tooth.
